I haven't been posting, but I have definitely been creating things! All these beauties are on their way to Canada for a great customer. It is always so fun to create custom items, my customers are so creative and come up with some great color combos and fun things for me to make.

black and white chevron quilt

 I am back after a nice little break. I needed it after all the Christmas sewing! My online friend Gina needed another quilt for her girls and I was happy to oblige. Her oldest daughter picked out the Charlie Brown sheet for the backing and we based the chevron front on Charlie Brown's shirt. I love the way this quilt turned out, but I have to say working with only black and white fabric was a little monotonous after a while. We decided on a solid red binding to really make the quilt pop!

She also found some great woodland animal patterns that she wanted. I love this girly fox and I know she will be treasured.

And of course, an adorable raccoon friend for the fox. I am sure they will spend lots of hours playing together.

The quilt is a great lap size or toddler size measuring 42.5 x 54.5 inches.

I love to do custom work, if you are interested in a fox or raccoon they are $20 + shipping each. They can be whatever color or pattern of fabrics that you choose, I will do my best to come up with something that you love. The chevron quilt is $85 + shipping.

{handmade christmas 2012} kimber - patchwork quilts

Last year I made patchwork throw quilts for Kimber and her family. This year she needed them for her 3 nephews, sister-in-law and soon to be son-in-law. I love putting these quilts together because they come together quickly and make a great gift!
