vintage zig zag

I have had a love/hate relationship with this quilt. I love zig zag quilts and I thought it would be great to make one with vintage sheets. For the white stripes I used sheets with only small, spread out designs to give it a little interest.

I started to hate it when I was machine quilting straight lines. I quilted 1/4" on either side of the zigs and it took for.ev.er. All that stopping and pivoting dragged out the process a lot. But, now that it is bound, washed and all crinkly I love it again.

It is for sale in my shop.

Well I only have love for your quilt! You have a real knack for picking lovely colors to pair together. You are making me very tempted to take a quilting class! Thank you for joining us at A Crafty Soiree! I hope you'll come back next week and link up again!
