christmas card ideas

It has been a while since I have done handmade Christmas cards, and I kind of feel bad about that. But, not so bad that I am going to drive myself crazy this year doing them. I have so many other things that need to get done, so I am turning to Snapfish to come up with a great card. And since they are currently offering 50 free cards for bloggers, I thought it would be easier than ever.

I have used them in the past for prints and I have always been very happy with their work. They are also really fast, which is great for those of us who tend to wait until the last minute to get things done.

Snapfish has so many great designs, but I think that I have narrowed the designs that I want down to these three:

They also do customized thank-you cards, which I might add to my order for the kids. I think it would be a great idea for them to get into the habit of sending out thank-you cards when they get birthday and Christmas gifts, and how cute would it be if they each had a set of cards with their own picture on them!
Also, their party invitations almost make me want to throw a Christmas party just so I can order them! Almost :)

Now that I have the cards taken care of, I just need to remember to get them mailed in time :)

fall placemats for mom

Here are a couple of custom order placemats for mom. They are similar to some springy ones I made earlier, but much more heavily quilted. I just did straight line quilting following the seams about 1/4" apart. I made them using vintage sheets and tea-dyed cotton. I am hoping to get a couple of these sets in my etsy shop in a couple of days.
