bee addicted - march

Karen asked for place mats for this months quilt block in the Bee Addicted VQB. The only requirement was that we use the large flower print somewhere in the block. In the end she will have a great collection of coordinating place mats for her family.

crayon rolls

Grace had a birthday party this weekend and I needed something quick. I made a cute little crayon roll with vintage sheets that fits a package of Crayola Mini Twistables Crayons 10 pack. For the enclosure I just sewed in a pony tail holder (new, of course).

It came together so quickly that I sewed another one up for Grace in the opposite colors.

Packaged together with the crayons and a couple of coloring books, and you have a cute, quick, usable birthday gift!

peeps pillow

As I was putting away all the green decorations and getting out the Easter/Spring stuff, I discovered that I had NO Easter pillows! I have had this pattern in my to-do file for a long time and decided it was time to whip it up. I got it from OrangeFlowerSketchbook.blogspot.com, but it appears that site is no longer available. It is a simple pattern, but I just love the little bunny tails! I bordered the bunnies with vintage sheets and free motion quilted around the edge. It is just finished with an envelope enclosure and holds a 16" pillow form.

This is also my entry for the March Pillow Party!

a little sunshine

A look at the latest quilt to be quilted. All pinned and ready to go! The inspiration for the quilt design came from here.
I am loving yellow and orange right now. Maybe because it reminds me of all the wonderful citrus on the trees right now!

This little baby quilt is destined for the shop as soon as I get her finished up!

birdie stitches bom - march

This is the latest block in Little Miss Shabby's block of the month series. I think I love this one the most so far. The rainbow is just perfect with the vintage sheets.

new baby quilts

During a recent visit to my mom's house, I was able to finish up a couple of baby quilts. They are both simple, just patchwork squares of vintage sheets.

I really love how snuggly and soft the quilts turn out when using the vintage sheets. They are both backed with vintage sheets as well.

You can find them for sale HERE and HERE.

camera strap cover

I thought Mom could use a cute camera strap cover for her SLR. I used a pattern from the Trendy Babes Boutique on Etsy. It was super easy to follow and I think it turned out pretty cute! I only hope that it fits her strap!
